Inspired by NYBG's renowned botanical collections, the limited-edition collaboration features 30 innovative bag designs and launches with a special pop-up experience at the iconic Bronx destination.

Sprayground, the globally recognized streetwear brand known for transforming backpacks into wearable works of art, has partnered with the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) to launch a 30-piece collection of bags and accessories inspired by the beauty and diversity of the natural world.
Drawing from NYBG's iconic landscapes, vibrant floral displays, and living collections, the collaboration brings together fashion, art, and nature in a unique collection that celebrates the Garden's 135-year legacy. Spanning 250 acres in the Bronx, NYBG is one of the world's leading botanical gardens and a living museum dedicated to plant research and conservation, horticulture, and education. A portion of the proceeds from this bag collection will go to support this mission.

Highlights from the collection include a duffle bag inspired by NYBG's iconic Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, the landmark Victorian-style glasshouse that has served as the centerpiece of the Garden since 1902. The design incorporates the Conservatory's distinctive architecture, including its signature arched windows.

The collection also features backpacks and handbags inspired by ornamental botanical vases, as well as four mini pouchettes sculpted to resemble flowers in full bloom. The floral styles are available in checkered brown, red, black, and pink colorways, bringing Sprayground's signature creativity to botanical-inspired accessories.

The collaboration carries a Bronx pride angle due to its location. Several backpacks feature Bronx-themed graphics and NYBG map-inspired designs. The rest of the collection includes botanical printed backpacks and totes covered in tropical leaves, jungle patterns, bright florals, and garden-inspired graphics across classic Sprayground shapes, from the Fancy Floral Jungle Backpack to the Rose Backpack to the Clear Flower Compartment Backpack.

“Sprayground is a brand with deep Bronx roots and a global following, and the fact that David built this brand just blocks from where NYBG has stood for 135 years made this partnership feel destined,” said Christa Boeke, VP of Retail and Brand Licensing at NYBG. “That shared DNA is all over this collection. Seeing our rare botanical art collection and iconic Conservatory reimagined through Sprayground's lens -- and then watching an entirely new audience discover NYBG through it -- is exactly the kind of unexpected, culture-forward moment we live for.”
From August 25 through September 7, Sprayground will host a freestanding pop-up shop located within the New York Botanical Garden, giving visitors the opportunity to shop the collection in the very setting that inspired it. The Sprayground x NYBG pop-up will be open through Labor Day weekend (with closures on August 29, August 31, and September 5). The pop-up will be open during the Garden’s hours of operation 10am- 6pm offering guests a unique retail experience celebrating the intersection of fashion, art, and nature.

"Nature has always been one of the greatest sources of inspiration for creativity, so collaborating with the New York Botanical Garden felt like a natural fit for Sprayground,” said David BenDavid, Founder and Creative Director of Sprayground. “We wanted to capture the beauty, colour and artistry of the Garden in a way that feels bold, wearable and true to our design DNA. This collection celebrates exploration - whether you're travelling across the world or simply discovering something new in your own city. We're especially excited to bring the collaboration to life with our pop-up experience at the New York Botanical Garden this August, giving visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the collection in one of the most inspiring settings imaginable."
The exclusive Sprayground x NYBG collection will be available for purchase on August 25th, 2026 exclusively at the Sprayground pop-up store at the New York Botanical Garden and beginning on September 7th, 2026 on sprayground.com
